Victoria Macaulay is Assistant Head of Secondary at Maadi British International School in Cairo and co-founder of The Safeguarding Compass. With over 16 years' experience across UK and international education, including UK boarding schools, she leads student wellbeing, safeguarding and educational visits.
Student wellbeing has been the driving force throughout Victoria's career. Her work is grounded in the belief that schools should develop character, confidence and life skills alongside academic achievement, preparing young people not only for examinations but for the challenges of adult life.
Her work sits at the intersection of wellbeing, safeguarding, risk management and student development. She also works with external partners and activity providers to ensure experiences are supported by robust safeguarding, operational safety and compliance frameworks.
Working from a wellbeing and inclusion perspective, she is passionate about ensuring opportunities for growth and character development are accessible to all students.
