Profile
Dr Tyran Riley-David is an educational leader, researcher, and Head of Humanities at RAK Academy in the United Arab Emirates. With over a decade of international experience across South Africa, Kuwait, and the UAE, he has contributed to curriculum innovation, educational leadership, and the development of high-quality teaching and learning across diverse school contexts.
He holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His doctoral research explored teacher leadership for technological innovation in teaching and learning during the Fourth Industrial Revolution, drawing on the theories of Teacher Leadership, Adaptive Leadership, Social Realism, and Critical Realism to examine how educators lead meaningful and sustainable change. His research has been published in a peer-reviewed academic journal, and he continues to contribute to educational scholarship on leadership, innovation, and organisational change.
