Sung Yun Lim is the Principal of GIA Micro School K–12 in South Korea. He leads an innovative Christian micro school serving over 400 students, where project-based learning, entrepreneurship, AI integration, and character education are combined to prepare students for life beyond the classroom.
Under his leadership, GIA Micro School was honored with the Creative School of the Year award at the GESS Education Awards, recognizing its innovative approach to authentic, future-focused learning.
Sung Yun studied Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and has dedicated more than a decade to reimagining education through real-world learning, interdisciplinary projects, and purpose-driven school design. His work focuses on helping students develop creativity, critical thinking, resilience, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose in an AI-driven world.
As an educational leader and speaker, he is passionate about helping schools move beyond subject-centered instruction and redesign learning around authentic experiences. Through practical frameworks and real school examples, he equips educators to prepare students not only for academic success, but for meaningful lives of impact, service, and lifelong learning.
