Sindhu Madhavan is an experienced School Counsellor with over 20 years of practice across India, Oman, and the UAE. Currently working with GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai, she specializes in student wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive education within diverse international school environments.

Sindhu holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Mumbai and a Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision for Mental Health Practices from TISS, Mumbai. Her expertise spans counselling across age groups, career guidance, safeguarding leadership, and implementing whole-school inclusion strategies.

She has led the development of inclusion systems aligned with KHDA standards, improving departmental outcomes and student support frameworks. As a Deputy Safeguarding Lead, she has trained staff, conducted risk assessments, and contributed to school-wide wellbeing initiatives.

Sindhu is passionate about strengthening supervision practices for school counsellors, ensuring reflective, ethical, and impactful support systems that enhance both practitioner wellbeing and student outcomes.
