Shalini Fernandes is an Inclusion Leader based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Spanning nearly 20 years of dedicated experience in special and inclusive education, her career is marked by a deep commitment to nurturing individual student strengths, advocating for learners with additional needs, and building robust, compliant inclusion frameworks within mainstream schools. She currently serves as the Head of Inclusion, Deputy Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and Health & Safety Lead at GEMS New Millennium School - Al Khail (NMS). As a result of her institutional expertise and impact across the broader educational network, she also serves as an Inclusion Excellence Fellow for GEMS Education, where she helps drive inclusive practices across GEMS schools.
