With a Masters in Psychology and over a decade of experience in International school counselling and education in UAE, Roopa Freddy is extremely passionate about early childhood development and children's mental health. She strongly believes in empowering educators, leaders and caregivers and is a huge advocate of caregiver and parental emotional wellbeing. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association, British Psychological Society and International School Counselling Association (ISCA) and is trained in CBT, SFT, trauma informed practices, mindfulness and elements of play therapy.
Roopa has supported and worked alongside innumerous families on raising emotionally healthy and confident children and she regularly offers parenting trainings sharing her insights on topics like early years psychosocial development, cultural competence, school readiness and parenting in a digital world. Roopa has presented at international conferences and is currently leading the Gems of Early Childhood project, an initiative from Gems Education that aims to champion family wellbeing and support parents and caregivers in their parenting journey.
