Dr. Rehab Al Hakmani is an Assistant Professor in the Data Analytics, Policy, and Leadership Division at Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE). She received her PhD from Southern Illinois University and holds a master’s degree in Educational Measurement and Evaluation from Sultan Qaboos University. Before joining ECAE, she worked as a statistical analyst at the Ministry of Education and served for eight years as a physics teacher. Her professional background bridges classroom teaching, educational assessment, and statistical analysis. Dr. Rehab’s research interests focus on the application of measurement models in educational and psychological sciences, with particular emphasis on the efficiency of Bayesian techniques in estimating item response theory models. Her work aims to support more accurate assessment practices and evidence-based decision-making in education. At ECAE, she contributes to preparing educators and researchers to use data and assessment evidence to improve educational practice.
