Paul Rowe is Vice Principal at Uptown International School in Dubai and an experienced educational leader with a background spanning British and International Baccalaureate schools. Beginning his career as an English teacher in the United Kingdom, he has since held a range of middle and senior leadership positions within international education.
Paul’s work focuses on school improvement, leadership development, teaching and learning, and the creation of systems that improve outcomes while maintaining professional autonomy. He has a particular interest in organisational coherence, reducing unnecessary variation, and the conditions that enable sustainable improvement at classroom, school, and system level.
He holds three master’s degrees, including an MA in Teaching and Learning and an MBA in Educational Leadership, and has completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and a qualified peer accreditor for the Council of International Schools (CIS), British Schools Overseas (BSO), and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
His leadership philosophy centres on building cultures of trust, alignment, and continuous improvement where both students and staff can thrive.
