Profile
I am an early years educator with over 13 years of experience and a deep belief that children's most meaningful learning begins with connection, curiosity and play. I currently teach at Dubai British School Jumeirah, where I’m passionate about creating environments that empower children to ask questions, test ideas, and lead their own learning journeys.
Holding a Master's degree in Pedagogy, a PGCE from the University of Cumbria, and a Forest School qualification, I am particularly interested in inquiry-based learning, playful pedagogy, and the role of responsive adults in sustaining deep thinking. My passion for wonder extends beyond the classroom, where I occasionally steps into the role of a nature fairy, using storytelling, imagination, and connections with the natural world to inspire children's curiosity and sense of wonder.
Through sharing authentic classroom stories and reflections, I hope to inspire educators to embrace joy, trust children's capabilities, and rediscover the power of learning through play.
At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: play is not a break from learning. It IS learning.
