Nauman Ali is Head of Secondary Science at Beech Hall School Riyadh, where he leads the science department and teaches Physics from Grade 9 to 12, including IB Diploma Programme Physics at Standard and Higher Level. He has more than 16 years of international teaching experience and holds an MA in Education from Liverpool John Moores University. He is currently completing QTS through the University of Sunderland and the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). His teaching is built around inquiry and student ownership. He uses simulations, low-cost practical work and digital tools such as PhET, Wayground and Edpuzzle to make abstract science visible and to get every student thinking. He has led school and regional STEAM fairs, designed department-wide assessment and data systems, and supported colleagues through coaching and classroom walkthroughs. He is interested in how technology, used with intent rather than for its own sake, can deepen understanding and widen access in the science classroom.
