Profile
Lubna Kakkengal is a Career Instructor and Vocational Trainer at the Technology and Career Centre, Emirates National Schools, teaching game design, coding, robotics, 3D design and AI literacy to secondary students aged 11 to 16.
She brings over a decade of experience across teaching, research and academic leadership. Earlier in her career she headed the Computer Engineering Department at polytechnic colleges, leading instructional delivery, curriculum development, and faculty management.
She also worked as a Research Assistant at Zayed University, contributing to a peer-reviewed publication in Elsevier journal.
She holds an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Unity Authorized Educator status, IB MYP Design certification, and Ofqual-regulated Assessor and IQA credentials.
Most recently she led the Endless Studio Explorers Programme at Emirates National Schools, through which 56 students earned the Endstar Foundations: AI Literacy Micro-Credential, co-issued by Endless Studio and Arizona State University. She is also a subject matter expert for Future Coders Emirates Skills and a mentor for Emirati developers through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Gaming Bootcamp.
