Dr. Jeffrey L. Mitchell has served as Head of School at Currey Ingram Academy, a JK-12 college-preparatory school for students with learning differences in Brentwood, Tennessee, since 2014. His 17-year tenure as Head of School spans Currey Ingram and Tuscaloosa Academy (2009-2014), preceded by leadership and teaching at Park Tudor and St. George's. Jeffrey holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of British Columbia, specialising in Human Learning, Development, and Instruction, and completed the Aspen Executive Leadership Institute in 2025. He is a Board Trustee for TAIS and MISBO, has chaired seven SAIS accreditation reviews, and is a former SAIS Board Trustee and E.E. Ford/NAIS Fellow. Jeffrey has presented on this session's content at national conferences: Growing People: Your Rising Team at NAIS (Seattle, 2026), THN (Napa, 2026), TAIS (Chattanooga, 2025), and SAIS (Atlanta, 2025); and Growth Profiles at NAIS (Las Vegas, 2023), SAIS (Atlanta, 2023), and ALDS (Norfolk, 2024).
