Mag. Pth. Ioana Anghel-Pirich is a psychotherapist, educator and lecturer at Sigmund Freud University Vienna, where she teaches Health and Illness in Social Perspectives and Perspectives in Psychotherapy Science. She previously served as Director of the Learning Centre at Sigmund Freud University, leading seminars and workshops on academic writing, metacognition and self-regulated learning.

Ioana holds a Magister degree in Psychotherapy Science with excellent distinction, with a specialization in Systemic Family Therapy, and is currently a PhD candidate at Sigmund Freud University, researching the role of psychotherapy in learning and education. She has completed IB Psychology training and further professional training in ADHD, autism, learning disabilities and concussion in school, as well as advanced training in metacognitive strategies and self-regulated learning.

Her work focuses on bridging psychotherapy, learning science and practical classroom support, with a particular interest in adolescent learning, neurodivergent students, academic resilience and teacher-accessible interventions.
