Prof. Fatma Hassan Taher is Vice Dean of the School of Linguistics and Translation and Chairperson of the English Department at Badr University in Cairo (BUC). With a career spanning over three decades beginning at Cairo University in 1989, she holds a Ph.D. in African American Literature and has published extensively on African literature, women's studies, and cultural studies. She has led accreditation and quality assurance initiatives across multiple universities and has presented at international conferences in Lebanon, Ireland, Albania, Malaysia, the UK, Spain, and Egypt. A self-directed learner in emerging educational technologies, she brings a humanities-based perspective to the integration of AI literacy in higher education.
