Speaker

I am Faris, a Year 13 student with a passion for sports, leadership, and personal growth. I have been the captain of my school’s basketball team for the past two years, where I have developed strong teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills. I have also participated in Model United Nations (MUN) multiple times and previously served as a class representative, giving me opportunities to represent my peers and contribute to student voice. As someone who balances academics, competitive sports, and life with Type 1 diabetes, I have learned the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and determination. I am particularly interested in Kinesiology and Sports Management and believe in the power of supportive teachers, positive role models, and opportunities that help students discover their potential.
