Dr Ashkelon Govender is an educational leader, researcher, author, and speaker serving as Associate Head of Primary in the United Arab Emirates. He holds a PhD in Education Leadership, Management and Policy from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in recognition of academic excellence. His professional work focuses on school improvement, assessment-driven practice, instructional leadership, teacher development, student well-being, and innovation in teaching and learning. His research interests include educational leadership, teacher leadership, teacher identity, distributed leadership, arts-based educational research, relational leadership, and school–community partnerships. He serves as a peer reviewer for academic journals and has co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article and scholarly book chapters.
