Dr. Ali Bhayani works at the intersection of artificial intelligence, education, and ethics. An academic and researcher, he teaches business, innovation, and marketing alongside philosophy and theology — a combination behind his core conviction: that AI's real impact on education is not fewer teachers, but the chance to finally invest in better ones.
He is the founder of Awaiters, a Canada-based education venture built on a two-year model for selecting and forming teachers as mentors — subject specialists grounded in ethics and the humanities, who use AI for content delivery so they can devote their hours to coaching, character, and the formation of the whole student.
As Founder and Senior Consulting Partner of Theme Consultancy, a Gulf-region advisory firm, he has designed national-scale AI education and workforce initiatives across the UAE and Oman, advising governments, investment institutions, and schools on AI strategy and the future of work.
His work reframes technology not as a race to automate, but as an opportunity to elevate human judgment, character, and trust — and to build the kind of teacher a machine can never replace.
