Andy Gleadhill is a multi-award-winning Author, Musician and Educator. He has over forty years’ experience as a professional Musician and Educationalist.

Andy is internationally acknowledged as a leading authority on teaching the World’s Music. He has twelve books published on Global Music Themes. Andy wrote the chapter on Music for the academic book “Popular Culture, Pedagogy and Teacher Education” (Routledge 2014). His new book “SLAP DJEMBE” won the award for “Outstanding Music Education Print Resource” at the 2024 Music and Drama Education Awards.

He teaches on the specialist music PGCE courses at Bath Spa University UK and is a Visiting Professor at the Malaysian Music Teachers Training College. He is a member of the Royal Society of Musicians and has been engaged as a consultant to the ministries of Education of Malaysia and Singapore and has worked as an examiner and written syllabus material for the Guildhall school of Music and Drama and Trinity College London as well as being retained as a consultant to the ABRSM and RSL Awards (Rockschool).

He now spends his time delivering school music workshops and teacher development training to International Schools across the globe.
