Profile
Philippa Wraithmell is an award-winning educator, strategist, author and international speaker specialising in digital transformation, AI governance and educational leadership.
Her passion is rooted in the belief that technology, when used purposefully and ethically, has the power to transform opportunities. As a dyslexic learner herself, she understands firsthand how technology can remove barriers, empower individuals and enhance human potential. The challenge is not simply having access to technology, but understanding how to use it meaningfully.
With over 17 years of experience spanning school leadership, government advisory and international consultancy, Philippa has supported more than 100 schools and organisations in developing sustainable digital strategies, embedding interdisciplinary learning and building digital and AI capabilities. Her work includes designing global professional learning programmes, alongside regionalising educational technologies and approaches to reflect local cultures, languages and contexts. She believes meaningful digital transformation must recognise that what works in one culture or context cannot simply be replicated in another.
Founder and CEO of EdRuption, Philippa has collaborated with organisations including Cambridge International Education, the World Bank, Apple, Meta and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
She holds an MBA in Sustainability, Innovation and Leadership, with research exploring the capabilities required for ethical, human-centred AI transformation in education.
