Sheridan Teasel
Head of Secondary - Dubai British School Emirates Hills
Sheridan Teasel has recently been appointed as the Head of Secondary at Dubai British School Emirates Hills. He has served as the Deputy Head of Secondary for the past 4 years and has played a pivotal role in enhancing the curriculum, improving options choices and processes, overseeing ever greater levels of pastoral care and wellbeing provisions, and mentoring students toward top university placements.
Sheridan is a graduate of the University of Oxford and brings a truly unique background to the role. His career spans leadership in outstanding British and IB international schools including at Dubai College and The ISF Academy in Hong Kong. In that time he has co-authored 2 published works on the effects of Positive Education. Before moving to the education sector, Sheridan spent many years as a senior leader in the financial sector, first as a trader and then managing considerable portfolios, plus several years of service in the Royal Air Force.
Sheridan aims to bring emotionally intelligent leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to student wellbeing and achievement, being passionate about how these two interact.

As a preview to, and to help inform, the BSME Wellbeing and Belonging Conference on 18 April 2026, Matthew Savage - international educational consultant and Director of The Mona Lisa Effect® - will chair a panel of wellbeing senior leads from across the BSME network, to explore how best we can weave webs, and evolve ecosystems, of wellbeing and belonging in our schools.
