Sanna Nummela MSc. (Business Economics) is Service Director at EduCluster Finland, University of Jyväskylä Group, specializing in curricula processes and models and professional development programs in vocational sector. Having conducted professional development programs in Europe and Asia she has been involved in Finnish education innovation for some 15 years, teaching and learning both in vocational education and higher education levels. Her core expertise is in marketing, customer service, service design and entrepreneurship. Over her career, she has worked in business life, fields of commerce and catering. Qualified as a teacher in Finland, she has recently developed school-based approaches involving curricula convergence through problem-based and phenomenon-based learning transversals, work-based training, and competence-based learning.
Entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurial mindset are something that can be both learned and taught. Using the entrepreneurial approach is a method to activate students and to innovate their learning both as individuals and as members of a team in order to develop competences and skills for the 21st century. This case study will answer the questions to whom, how and when entrepreneurship training could be utilized.
