How we Developed our Model of Play Based Learning

Walk into our school and you will not see a traditional early year’s classroom. We have created a unique learning environment for our population of Emirati students with classrooms full of awe and wonder that ignite their curiosity. Our philosophy is underpinned by the Walker Learning Approach, and we have developed small learning centres where students are able to access their own learning and pathways. Our children have access to a variety of centres relating to real-life experiences, curriculum input, and creative opportunities. They learn to play and communicate together as they explore a variety of roles. In this presentation we will share with you how to develop an authentic and intention play-based learning environment.
