Originally from Spain but born in the UK, having qualified and taught in both, then living and working overseas the last 7 years out of 17 years of teaching experience. I am passionate about Music and teaching and combining both is a dream come true. I believe everyone is musical and we as educators need to transmit our passion to our students from a very early age. I have an MEd and a PhD in Philosophy in Musicology and Music Education. I have taught whole school from K-12 (Early Years is one of my mains) My teaching philosophy is student-centred and making music accessible to everyone. Giving our students the tools to be successful is the most important and exciting part of our teaching life.

Music in Early Years is extremely important as it can contribute to their development in other areas, such as English and Math. The colour-coded Music system has multiple uses inside and outside the Music classroom. Also taking into consideration synaesthesia, ADHD, autism... and how we can improve their performance in other subjects.
