Shehla Khan is an Early Education Policy Advisor with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), where she leads the development and implementation of policies that shape the early education sector across Abu Dhabi. With more than 25 years of experience in education, including over 16 years dedicated to early childhood education and leadership, she has worked across policy development, curriculum design, quality assurance, teacher development, and nursery operations. Throughout her career, she has established and led successful early learning institutions, contributed to national early childhood policy frameworks, and collaborated with government entities and sector stakeholders to advance quality and standards in early education. She is passionate about strengthening early learning systems and ensuring that every child has access to safe, high-quality, and developmentally appropriate educational experiences.
