Alexander Matianis is a global people strategist, business leader and Board Advisor who believes the future of business starts with the future of people. With over 25 years of international experience, he has helped organisations transform, scale and unlock leadership potential across industries, cultures and complex markets.
His industry experience spans healthcare, telecommunications, engineering, consulting services and entertainment across public and private sectors. He has supported workforces of over 17,000 employees and led HR teams across 50+ countries. As Group CHRO at Arab Emirates Global Initiatives (AEGI), he leads the people agenda to drive growth and scale operations across multiple industry verticals.
Since March 2026, Alexander has served as an Industry Board Advisor at the University of Stirling, contributing to academia–industry collaboration, student mentorship and industry research.
His interests include the future of work, employability and leadership capabilities, with a focus on connecting education and industry to equip future generations for a rapidly evolving world.
Alexander holds an MSc in Human Resource Management and Development from the University of Manchester, an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester, and a Bachelor in Marketing from York University, Canada. His professional credentials include Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Global Talent Management Leader (GTML), Strategic HR Business Partner (HCI) and Generative AI for Business Leaders (IBM).
