Assistant Headteacher - St Christophers School
I am an experienced teacher, with 25 years of experience in British International Schools around the world. Currently, I work as the Assistant Headteacher and Sustainability Lead in St Christopher's School, Bahrain. Recently, I hosted the first ever Eco-summit for students in Bahrain, which was attended by 300 students from 25 schools on the island and established the Bahrain Sustainable Schools Partnership.
I believe that sustainability and environmental teaching provides a wonderful platform for real life, and engaging learning for our students.

A Local Approach to Sustainable Education
Session Summary:
As the founder of the Bahrain Sustainable Schools Partnership and the Bahrain Eco-Summit, I want to look at how these ventures have worked to bring schools together and collaborate on sustainable projects that impact our small island of Bahrain. Is this local, collaborative approach more sustainable and impactful than teaching and trying to solve the global issues that we often discuss in classes?
