My name is Fatima Tariq. I am in Grade 8. I am a confident speaker and a proud participant in the TED-Ed Student Talks program, where I shared my thoughts on being intrusive — how curiosity can sometimes cross personal boundaries and how we can better manage it. I am also an active member of the Safety Rangers Committee, where I help create a safer, more supportive school environment for everyone. I am deeply interested in exploring the unexpected challenges of modern creativity, from social media pressure and burnout to fear of failure and choice overload. Through personal experiences, psychology, and relatable stories, I hope to help others understand and navigate these obstacles so they can express their ideas freely and confidently. My goal is to empower my peers to build resilience, embrace their creativity, and become more self-aware in today’s fast-paced world.

Hyper-Creativity, Hyper-Bored.
Session Summary:
In a world overflowing with creative tools, aesthetic inspiration, and endless digital resources, you might think our creativity would be thriving. So why do so many of us artists, writers, students, and creators still feel stuck, bored, or blocked? This talk explores the unexpected challenges of modern creativity, including social media pressure, burnout, fear of failure, and choice overload. Through personal experiences, psychology, and relatable stories, I will unpack why creativity is not always as simple as having the right tools, and how we can reconnect with our passion when it feels out of reach.
