Licensed psychologist. School psychologist and psychologist in a Multi-Agency Team - The Central Student Health and Education Administration at The Kalmar Municipality Education Department, Kalmar, Sweden
I am a licensed psychologist from Sweden with eight years of experience as a school psychologist. I specialize in behavioral interventions, supporting schools how to handle neurodivergent children, and bridging the gap between schools, parents, and children to foster collaboration. I combine Swedish educational values with globally recognized frameworks, such as Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), Low Arousal Approach (LAA) and Sence of Coherence (SoC) to reduce conflict and foster sustainable progress for children with behavioral or educational challenges. I work at leadership, group, and individual levels to help create a better working place for children and school personell alike.
I'm part of a Multi-Agency Team involving qualified social workers, special education teachers, specialized to prevent and address problematic school absenteeism. The team provides education for schools to better themselves in early intervention for at-risk students and tailored support for those already struggling with attendance. This work involves developing municipal guidelines to ensure good school attendance, educational initiatives and attendance-promoting projects at separate schools, as well as measures targeted at individuals with problematic school absence.
Within the scope of my work, I also carry out psychological assessments of children with suspected intellectual developmental disorder.
