Dr Ambika Gulati
Principal/CEO - Millennium School, Dubai
Dr Ambika Gulati has 25 years of experience in leadership positions of school education. Her journey has seen her holding several leadership positions in schools in India and the UAE. Though she began her career as an investment banker, she soon realized that her passion lies in teaching and research in educational methodology and teacher education. Her zeal for making a difference in the lives of children led her to school education in 2000. She joined The Millennium School, Dubai in April 2017 as the Principal.
Dr Gulati’s forte is in pedagogical transformation and inspiring her team to make micro shifts in their practice to positively impact the underlying school culture and the learning outcomes for students. Her current research offers a framework that school leaders could engage with as they work towards school improvement. She has worked with significant government educational organisations such as NCERT, NIOS and CSBE since 2007. Dr Gulati has also authored books in Economics at the senior secondary level.
Dr Gulati holds an Doctorate in Education in Leadership and Innovation from New York University, New York, a M.Ed. from the University of Delhi and a M.A. in Economics from University of Cambridge. Her research has won her the Distinguished Cross Sector Impact Award by NYU Steinhardt.
