Dr Sandra Baroudi

Dr Sandra Baroudi is an expert in leadership and management in Education, an international journal reviewer, lecturer, trainer, and research consultant, with extensive experience in academia in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Baroudi holds a PhD in Leadership and Policy in Education from the British University in Dubai, UAE. She is an Associate Professor at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies- Zayed University, Dubai, UAE. She is the co-founder and CEO of Eduvate, a professional development and training institute for educators and professionals. Eduvate’s recent projects involved training Police officers at the Police academy at the Ras al Khaimah police academy in customer service skills.
Dr. Baroudi is a certified associate for the Blackboard academy and a Fellow for Advanced Higher Education. She is a Peer Reviewer for Online courses from Quality Matters. She was a fellow for the Education Endowment Foundation in the UK and Queen Rania Foundation in Jordan, where she led the contextualization of the Teaching and Learning Toolkit into the Arab world context. In her work, Dr. Baroudi seeks to provide evidence-based data and best practices for leaders and educators in the Arab world with the aim of supporting their decisions to promote innovative and quality education.

Using Action Research to Navigate the AI Era
Session Summary:
As artificial intelligence continues to transform education, educators must adapt with both confidence and purpose. This interactive 1-hour session introduces action research as a practical and reflective approach for navigating AI-related opportunities and challenges. Participants will explore how to frame AI-driven issues in their teaching practice, design focused inquiries, and use evidence to inform decision-making. Through real-world examples and guided reflection, educators will consider topics such as ethical AI use, student engagement in AI-assisted learning, and curriculum adaptation. By the end of the session, participants will walk away with a mini action research plan template and a clear roadmap for applying action research in their classrooms and institutions.
