Ulla-Maija Saikkonen-Mahne (M.Ed.) is an experienced educator, currently working as a teacher in the Al Ain. She has worked in the field of education for over 35 years and has expertise in adapting the best practices of Finnish education to serve local contexts and different learners. Working in the U.A.E since 2015, her main responsibilities have included teaching and admin positions.
Prior to her post in the U.A.E, she has worked as a class teacher, vice-principal and principal in Finland. Starting July 2019, she will take on a new challenge as the principal for Billabong High International School in the Maldives.
