Tony Brandenburg


Tony is a retired educator and education consultant who has dedicated a portion of his new-found time to continue working with governments, organisations (both commercial and non for profit), whose obvious focus is the improvement of educational thinking and pedagogy and whose clear mission is the educational development of the individual student. 


He is internationally recognized for more than thirty five years work in the area of education and learning with a focus on technology and technology policy.  In 2010 he was made a Fellow of the Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE), recognising his work in the field.  He is a past Director on the Board of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and has had many consultancy roles including to governments in the Middle East and Asia. 
His previous positions include teaching at a range of levels in schools and universities, as a principal of a primary school, as an educational consultant, a manager in his state’s teacher regulation authority, a project manager, a project director, a strategic planner and as an e-learning advisor. 


His present interests include educational pedagogical reform, country wide strategic planning and working with developing countries, and his golf game.  His education goal is to continue to argue passionately that learning and teaching comes first and that everything else is complementary.

تحديات اليوم هي فرص المستقبل

لا يمكن لأحد أن ينكر حاجة وظيفة التعلم إلى التحرك بوتيرة أسرع وعلى نحو أكثر تواتراً، وإلى التأقلم مع احتياجات الأعمال المتغيرة والتحرر من العقليات القديمة المتعلقة بـ"التعلم التقليدي" التي تميل إلى الجمود- مالم تكن منقوشة في الحجر.

تواجه المجتمعات في كافة أنحاء العالم التحدي المتمثل في مواجهة مختلف العقبات والظروف التي يلفها الغموض. غير أن الإيمان بحتمية التعليم الجيد لإيجاد مستقبل مستدام وأن التعليم والتعلم لهما دور أساسي في تغيير عقليات الناس للوصول إلى هذا المستقبل هو ما يوحد الناس في هذه المجتمعات كافة.
