Steve Bambury is Head of Digital Learning and Innovation across JESS Dubai where he works with staff, students, parents and school leaders to help them develop their use of education technology. Steve has worked at JESS Dubai for nine years and is now based at the Arabian Ranches campus. Steve is an Apple Distinguished Educator as well as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Fellow and Microsoft Master Trainer. He is also a global ambassador for Book Creator, Nearpod, Seesaw and Minecraft. He is a two-time winner of the GESS Award for Best Use of ICT and has presented at many events across the MENA region and beyond as well as delivering remote CPD for organisations including The University of Southern California, Fairmont Prep, The British School of Caracas and more. Steve is the founder of the award-winning iPad Educators website, sharing best practice in the use of the iPad in the classroom. The site has been running since 2014 and is recognised globally as a hub of innovative iPad based projects. In 2017 Steve launched VirtualiTeach - a new site to share ideas, projects and theory related to the use of virtual and augmented reality in education. Alongside this, Steve launched the #CPDinVR events and in June 2017, he became the first educator to ever host educational professional development sessions inside virtual reality.
