27 February 2018 | 11:30 - 12:00 | English | A truly International Thematic approach to teaching and learning
The IPC is our International Primary Curriculum for children aged 5 - 11 years old. It is used by over 730 schools in 92 countries worldwide. It is a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum, with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject. It also develops international mindedness and encourages personal learning. This presentation will focus on a child’s ‘Learning Journey’ through the IPC, both the theory behind the curriculum and what it looks like in the international school settings. The presentation will highlight how IPC enables students to see the big picture of their learning, make connections across different subjects, to celebrate cultural diversity and enable greater student ownership of learning and development of important skills such as collaboration, resilience, communication and enquiry.
