Ministry invites school staff for special training

The Ministry of Education has revealed new statistics on the number of teaching, technical and administrative staff for the new academic year 2018-2019. As many as 28,000 teachers and technical and administrative staff are scheduled to attend school on Sunday according to the approved academic calendar.

Concurrently, the ministry has ordered the the staff including teachers, lab and learning resource specialists and school leaders, totalling down to 26,000 of them to attend a one-week specialised training organised by the ministry at its affiliated training centres across the UAE.

According to the ministry, the specialised training, which will be carried out by 1,375 trainers all over the UAE, will provide a total of 209 training materials required for all the seminars and subjects, in collaboration with a number of partners.

The seminars will cover topics such as ‘how subjects can be developed and presented in a variety of ways’, in order for the students to understand with a broader view, which in return will help improve their academic attainment, the ministry explained.

The ministry pointed out that the training is aimed at developing and improving the efficiency of the educational staff for an optimal start of the new academic year in line with the ministry’s plans and ambition, to empower teachers and provide them with all the expertise necessary for achieving the desired results.
