'Picks of the week' brings you our favourite educational discovers from the gold-mine that is Twitter.

The beginning of any new term is a busy and sometimes stressful time for many teachers. As our classrooms begin to welcome back students for the first time since the move to distance learning do to Covid-19, this is a new term like no other.cFor many teachers this term, it will their first working abroad in UAE on top of all the other challenges facing educators right now. We loved this week’s #LearnLive with Olly Lewis and Mark Anderson, “How to survive your first year teaching in the UAE.” The first episode of series 2 was packed full of brilliant tips, insight and ideas and support to help any new to UAE teachers. Amongst other things, distance learning has provided us with a unique opportunity to analyse and evaluate different teaching methods. This blog post from Australian educator Kath Murdoch, @kjinquiry, delves a little deeper into the Inquiry Method of teaching within the setting of remote learning. You can check it here
