Mervi Jansson

CEO

Mervi Jansson, CEO of Omnia Education Partnerships, is a lifelong learning enthusiast with over 20 years of diverse experience in education and training.  During her career, she has designed several courses in entrepreneurship education and innovation, recognized as best practice on an EU-level.

Having participated in the Innovation Forum in Education, she contributed to the recent Finnish government education program. Mervi holds an MBA, teaching certificate and competency-based assessor diploma.

Two organizations from Finland, ThingLink and Omnia Education Partnerships, both having a mission to solve global challenges in education, have now partnered to create a scalable solution for TVET-related (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) skills development for UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Development). The global challenge we are addressing is how to teach skills to millions in diverse circumstances. In the keynote, I will share a concrete example of an immersive and scalable skills development solution. Together we are creating an interactive learning landscape going beyond traditional e-learning. The goal is to offer quality TVET solutions and skills development to vulnerable populations and hard-to-reach areas. ThingLink is a Finnish company and a visual learning solution for education, remote training and skills development. ThingLink is also a winner of the UNESCO ICT in Education prize.
