Markus Packalen is a Finnish classroom teacher with wide range of expertise on the field of education, both in Finland and UAE. Markus is known for developing a Technology Education Class -study program in Rajakylä Elementary School. He is an active member of Innokas-network promoting elementary level programming and robotics in Finnish Schools and delivering in-service training for teachers. In addition he has experience from teacher education, curriculum design, commercial learning materials and learning games development. How is continuous and holistic student assessment conducted in Finland? How can multidisciplinary student projects be evaluated in meaningful way? What are the best tools available? How would this work in UAE, in the context of Moral Education? The presentation provides answers to these questions and introduces a Moral Education pilot in British School of Al Ain, UAE, in which the student assessment is conducted through finnish Qridi-assessment tool. Qridi was awarded as the best digital learning solution in Finland. It has been developed together with innovative Finnish teachers and experts and is based on the latest educational research.
