Education in action

25 February 2020 | 11:00 - 11:30 | Integrating STEM in Secondary Schools in Bahrain: Reflections & Recommendations

In order to introduce the application of STEM theories and concepts to real life application and industry practices, Clever Play Education & Training initiated an in-school STEM Program in select public schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the first term of academic year 2019-2020. The program was conducted during formal class hours thereby gaining an entry point into the formal curriculum. Our STEM In-School Integration in partnership with the Ministry of Education in Bahrain piloted a STEM Program in 8 schools across different governorates. Its aim is to develop hands on STEM areas connecting classroom concepts to real world application. The results of this pioneer attempt are critical to the goal of eventually having the program adopted in more schools. The service partnership with MOE is a vital step towards impacting government policy and practice to optimize the social value and impact we are working to create. The talk will conclude with results and recommendations.
