Johanna Wild

Hello, my name is Johanna Wild. I have been teaching since 2009 both in the UK and the UAE. I am from the Northeast of England. I'm passionate about sharing my love of technology and science with students and other educators. 

 

Students find out very quickly that I love everything related to technology and science.  I enjoy all things tech-related. I enjoy sharing my passion for technology and how technology of all kinds impacts us in the real world. I was first introduced to Makey Makey about 10 years ago and I have never looked back. I am always blown away by the reaction I receive from the children when working on these projects and the confidence that they develop. Even though I have been using the technology for rather a long time, it never ceases to amaze me and teach me new and exciting things. 

 

When I'm not in school, I'm constantly learning.  I love to read and am constantly exploring new concepts.  I'm often found with my nose in a book (or close to my Kindle screen!) or with some new technology/science equipment exploring how it works and thinking about how I can integrate it into my lessons or across the school.
