Henning Fries

CEO

Henning A. Fries is the CEO of Bloom Education. He oversees the company’s business units, which include existing operations as well as those under development.

During his 25-year career, Henning has held a variety of leadership roles across operational, asset management and development disciplines at leading enterprises within both mature and emerging markets in Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America. Henning’s areas of expertise range from business re-engineering and turnaround operations, complex stakeholder relations, to well as project management and consultancy.

Prior to joining Bloom, Henning was Managing Director of Hospitality at the Al Habtoor Group in Dubai, responsible for developing the hospitality and leisure portfolio of the diversified group and overseeing the creation of new business opportunities. Henning has also worked with Fairmont – Raffles Hotels International as Regional Vice President in the UAE where his mandate was to drive the hotel chain’s continued growth and development across the country. Additionally, he has served as Regional Director and General Manager at The Monarch, Dubai and Dubai Media One Hotel.

Before relocating to the UAE, he held general manager positions at a number of major hotel chains in the UK, Germany and Canada.

Henning has earned an Executive MBA from Henley Business School, Oxfordshire, UK and a diploma in Hotel Management from Hotel School SBC, Trier, Germany.
