Future Learning

26 February 2020 | 17:00 - 17:30 | Emotional Resilience for Examination Students

The Super Generation supports forward-thinking schools with educational well-being programmes to empower students to develop their social and emotional intelligence. As experienced educators we understand the correlation between student well-being and academic achievement.
Emotionally strong young people cope well with stress, have a positive self-image, have the ability to love and care for others and are focused on meeting their own needs. There is a tremendous amount of change during adolescence and the demands of examinations adds to the pressure which young people experience. Therefore it is essential that young people have the emotional skills and capacity to recognise these pressures and respond appropriately. The presentation looks at how teachers can help students recognise when they are under pressure, how to respond to it and how to build emotional resilience.
