Dalia Mohamed Ibrahim

Dalia Ibrahim has more than 25 years of professional experience in education, publishing, digital solutions, and entrepreneurship. She started her career in 1994 as a Publishing Executive at Nahdet Misr Publishing House. It wasn’t long before she realized the importance of introducing new integrated services and solutions that further support education and learning in Egypt and the Arab world. In 1998, she established Nahdet Misr Digital Solutions, which offers various digital educational solutions. In the same year, she established Nahdet Misr Advertising, which specializes in animation, virtual reality and augmented reality production. In 2004, Dalia established Nahdet Misr Periodicals, which publishes the Arabic versions of the most acclaimed entertainment magazines such as; Disney and National Geographic. In 2009, she established Nahdet Misr Trading and Distribution; which supplies and distributes all kinds of educational supplies. In 2017, she established EdVentures; MENA’s first corporate venture capital specializing in education, culture and innovative learning solutions. Dalia Ibrahim has received the School of Business Alumni award for 2017 from the AUC. In the same year, she was chosen among the 50 most influential women in business institutions in Egypt, during the annual celebration organized by Amwal Al-Ghad Magazine, under the auspices of the Egyptian Prime Minister.

Digital content and interactive digital curricula are no more an added value to today's digital native learners/generation; they are essential and fundamental. In this context, Nahdet Misr Publishing House, a leading entity operating in the fields of education, publishing and digital solutions in the Arab world, has conducted a mega project in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Education transforming all the Egyptian curricula for the pre-university grades into interactive curricula available for all students on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. Throughout a period of two years, Nahdet Misr has produced more than 15,000 learning objects covering more than 90 educational courses together with an assessment solution and a question bank generator. Nahdet Misr’s case study will tackle details on the implementation of such a mega project, and the latest digital solutions that empower learners and enable self-learning culture.
