Arabic Subject Leader - Dar Almarefa Private School
I aim to share my expertise and insights on innovative teaching strategies and best practices in Arabic language education within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. As the Arabic Subject Leader for the Secondary Stage at Dar Al-Marefa Private School in Dubai, I oversee the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 6, 7, and 8 and train teachers in Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, blended learning planning, and critical thinking development.
At the conference, I will highlight:
-Innovative strategies for teaching Arabic to native and non-native speakers and adapting curricula to meet the needs of diverse learners.
-Integrating ATL skills into Arabic language instruction to enhance students' creative and analytical thinking.
-Leveraging technology in Arabic language education and best practices for implementing blended learning.
-The role of education is to strengthen students' linguistic and cultural identity while preparing them with future-ready skills.
