Top brass from the Abu Dhabi Education Council welcomed nearly 900 new teachers who have been hired to work across the emirate’s public schools.

The 896 recruits attended an orientation session on Tuesday led by Adec Director General Dr Ali Al Nuaimi and other leading education officials.

“We are looking to boost the loyalty of our future generations who will lead the progress in their country with honour and pride,” Dr Al Nuaimi told the teachers, who included Emiratis, Arabs and other nationalities who will work in public schools across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Al Dhafra Region.

“To achieve this, we need new and innovative ideas to enrich and develop education, and our new teachers are the new spirit of the education system. We count on teachers to achieve a great leap in education and address challenges as they are our key players in the overall development, and with their efforts I am sure better learning outcomes will be achieved.”

The session was held to provide new staff with information about the curriculum applied in Abu Dhabi schools, an overview of Adec's vision, mission, human resources services and policies, and its ongoing educational programs and initiatives.
