Majed Akl has been on the Microsoft Education team for the last 10 years and is currently in the role of Education Industry Advisor, part of the worldwide education team and based in Dubai. Majed works with ministries of Education, Education leaders, Schools, and Education Solution Providers to help them realize the full benefits of adopting technology in education. Majed is a technology industry veteran with over 24 years of experience. Majed’s career started in education as a computer literacy teacher before joining Microsoft in 1999. Majed has a diverse experience in multiple disciplines including Technical support, Services, pre-sales, and marketing; spanning roles in Microsoft corporate headquarters and in Microsoft field offices. He has worked on many Microsoft technologies including server and tools, productivity, security, cloud, and devices. Majed holds an MBA from Indiana University-USA, a Master of Engineering degree from Auburn University-USA, and a Computer and Communications Engineering degree from American University of Beirut. Majed is also a certified PROSCI change management practitioner and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
