I am the Chief Government Officer at Teach For All, a global network of independent organizations that are cultivating their nations’ promising future leaders to ensure their most marginalized children have the chance to fulfill their true potential. I lead Teach For All’s efforts to develop and grow meaningful partnerships with public sector organizations to support the advancement of our vision and the global development agenda as a whole. I have over 18 years’ experience in senior leadership positions in the field of international development, institutional partnerships, economic promotion, entrepreneurship and youth policies. I have been the CEO of the economic development agency of Barcelona’s municipal government employing 350+ people and I founded a boutique-consulting firm that advises intergovernmental bodies on fostering economic growth in European, MENA and LATAC countries. I am a Board Member of different not-for-profit organizations such as the Asian based charity The Hub, the international NGO Street Business School, and the Basic Education Coalition.

The EdHeroes Network has organized this session to address the changes in the landscape of education, from the means of delivery to entire educational programs. The priority of subjects and skills necessary for a curriculum is being reassessed, and we are sitting at the edge of a new educational system. The need for soft skills and adaptability became more apparent, and many leaders and innovators have emerged. We now know that leadership skills can be acquired, arguably, at any age. The EdHeroes Network emerged to bridge the skill gap in education with the help of its many partners, leaders and projects. This section is dedicated to the importance of cultivating leadership in children, teachers, educators, parents and more, as well as the means and methods to do so. Follow along to hear experts’ insights and opinions, and ask important questions.
