Rubina Akhtar is an experienced international IB educator, instructional designer, and teacher trainer with a passion for innovative learning methodologies. She has worked extensively with UK, US, and IB curricula, bringing expertise in curriculum development, AI-driven education, and professional development for educators.
As a mentor with the Modern Classrooms Project (MCP-USA), Rubina empowers teachers globally to implement blended, self-paced, and mastery-based learning. She is also the co-founder of Voice of Learners (VOL), an initiative focused on transforming education through EdTech, competency-based learning, and AI literacy.
With over 16 years in the UAE/Middle East education industry, Rubina has led workshops, designed learning frameworks, and integrated AI tools to enhance student engagement. She has been recognized for her strategic leadership in education innovation and continues to collaborate on technology-enhanced learning solutions.

Session Summary:

Focusing on two hands-on projects: Planting Maths; and Painting a Water Tank. The session demonstrates how real-world applications can make abstract mathematical concepts more tangible. Participants will explore how these projects foster collaboration and creativity while integrating art, science, and mathematics.
