Dean and Professor of Education - American University in Dubai
Dr. Nadera Alborno is the Dean and Professor of Education at the American University in Dubai, with more than two decades of leadership in higher education in the UAE. A widely published scholar and global advocate for inclusive education, she is dedicated to preparing teachers for diverse classrooms and advancing Universal Design for Learning and technology-enhanced, learner-centered teaching. Her work promotes access, equity, and participation for all learners, focusing on translating inclusive principles into practical strategies that transform classrooms. As a Stevens Initiative Scholar and global leader in inclusive education, Dr. Alborno advances equity, access, and collaboration through initiatives that integrate innovation, assistive technologies, and inclusive pedagogy.
Deeply committed to empowering educators, she fosters a culture of reflective practice and action research, inspiring teachers to become researchers of their own instruction. She actively leads initiatives that strengthen partnerships between universities, schools, and education authorities, promoting collaboration and professional growth in the education sector.

مع تسارع وتيرة الأتمتة، يلعب المعلمون دورًا محوريًا في تزويد المتعلمين بـ"المهارات الصاعدة" التي حددها المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي - التفكير النقدي والإبداعي، والقيادة، والذكاء العاطفي، والمرونة والقدرة على التكيف. وبينما تُوسّع التطورات في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي نطاق ما يمكن أتمتته أو تحسينه، فإنها تُبرز حاجة المعلمين إلى تنمية القدرات البشرية العليا - الإبداع، والتعاطف، والتمييز الأخلاقي - التي لا تستطيع التكنولوجيا تقليدها.
