Carine El Yamani is a teacher at heart and an educational leader with over 23 years of experience at Saint Mary’s Orthodox College in Lebanon. She has served as Head of the English Department since 2013 and currently chairs the Accreditation Steering Committee, leading her school through its accreditation journey. Carine leads the RISE project, Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education, an innovative initiative that integrates research, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning to advance educational practice and empower educators. She has also contributed her expertise through active service on numerous committees and boards, helping shape policies and practices that advance teaching, learning, and school culture. With a deep commitment to curriculum development, teacher growth, and learner-centered education, Carine is dedicated to inspiring educators and fostering sustainable models of leadership and learning.

قصص من الخنادق: دعم المعلمين في بداية حياتهم المهنية

Session Summary:

ستُسلّط هذه الجلسة الضوء على أصوات معلمي المرحلة المبكرة من مسيرتهم المهنية، حيث سيشاركون قصصهم الشخصية التي تعكس واقع دخولهم المهنة اليوم، وتطلعاتهم، والتحديات التي يواجهونها، وسبل نموهم من خلال الخبرة. في كثير من الأحيان، لا تحظى وجهات نظر المعلمين المبتدئين بالاهتمام الكافي في الحوارات المهنية، على الرغم من الأفكار القيّمة التي يقدمونها من الصفوف الأمامية في الفصل الدراسي. من خلال سرد قصصي أصيل، سيُسلّط المشاركون الضوء على التوترات بين الإعداد والممارسة، والحاجة إلى إرشاد مُتجاوب، وأهمية الشعور بالاهتمام والدعم خلال السنوات الأولى الحاسمة من التدريس. كما ستُتيح الجلسة مساحةً للنقاش حول كيفية احتفاظ المدارس والأنظمة بمعلمي المرحلة المبكرة من مسيرتهم المهنية بشكل أكثر فعالية، ليس من خلال برامج عامة أو أطر عمل جامدة، بل من خلال دعم مدروس وعلائقي يُكرّم هوياتهم المتطورة كمعلمين. سيغادر الحضور بفهم أعمق للتجارب الحياتية للمعلمين الجدد، وبعض الأفكار العملية لتعزيز بيئات شاملة ومُمكِّنة تُغذي نموهم وتُعزز المهنة ككل.
